Lavinia and I had our opening today and were so happy to see people who came out despite the snow. I skidded a bit on the way home and was happy to get home and paint this picture.
Okay, maybe you remember this from last September. However, you might've had the same reaction as the guy driving past while I was out painting it, who shouted "Where's the mast!?" Well, whoever you are, Here it is!
We were at a wedding of the daughter of our dear friend. Suddenly this once little girl was marrying her love in the most meaningful place of their lives, and the day was a little cold but gorgeous.
I did this awhile ago but had to fix the kayaker's hat. We were biking across a bridge around sunset and I was able to quickly snap a picture of this guy with duckweed and the train station in the background.

I believe there's actually an 'Easter egg chicken' that lays these colors!
This is a beautiful swan I found in morguefiles.com. I had hoped to do it justice and think he turned out rather majestically. What lovely creatures these are!

"Tree in Field," my first post for 30 Paintings in 30 days, September 2016. Thank you Leslie Saeta! I get to go on a painting trip with Andrew Lattimore on Block Island, RI in two days except...it involves a one-hour ferry ride which might be cancelled thanks to Hurricane Hermine! We'll see what happens. Yes, I get seasick.
