I bought this intense looking cantaloupe at Whole Foods,and when I stuck it on a placemat, it needed to be painted, strange as it is! This is the last day of Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Painting Challenge. Thanks Lavinia Wiggins for goading me into it! And thanks to everyone for their great comments on my new blog. I look forward to continuing to paint daily!

This was kind of much to whip out in a day...but only one day left of the 30 day painting challenge! It's been a wonderful experience to paint on a daily basis - even while working full time at the library.

Day 13: "On the River," 9 x 12. It was kind of tricky, but I got out of the car on a busy bridge and shot a picture of this guy as he drifted past with the train station in the background.

This is a photograph of a beautiful field  I took two years ago.
