"Loose Screw"

"Loose Screw"
4" x 4," Oil on Board

I must've had a loose screw to attempt this. All those what you call em's, oh I looked it up, threads. On a 4" x 4" painting! I count 14. So I wiped the piece back down to the underpainting, which looks pretty good compared to what I just deleted. Maybe I will re-attempt this, I'm thinking very transparent and let the underpainting do the job.

I would never have attempted this no patience. I admire your perseverance - great job

Wow - if this is an underpainting, it is fabulous!

Nice capture of the intricacy and usually unappreciated swirling threads of this small but very necessary item in all of our lives. You gave life to a screw!

What Val said, LOL. High five for the attempt, you aced it. I remember in drafting I had to draw a screw, and the threads had to be exact and perfect. I hated that assignment. Don't even know how many times I did it over. Awesome job here :)
