Nicely Done. I am currently doing a wood carving of a similar butterfly. Aren't they beautiful?
Butterflies are strange... They're gorgeous. However they're basically two dimensional which is kind of weird for a person used to painting still life in the round. I hope to see your wood carving (or woodcut?)
A very nice study - it looks very soft and touchable.
