“Field in Provence”

“Field in Provence”
Oil on Linen, 9” x 12”

We traveled to Southern France a few years ago and I still remember the glorious fields of
lavender and cypress trees. I’m so ready for spring.

"Study for Barn at Castle Rock, Garrison"
Oil on Wood, 6" x 8"

I painted this last week to prepare for the Garrison Art Center Paint Out.
On Saturday May 12 we arrived early, had coffee and got our canvases stamped.
Then it was paint paint, shiver shiver, and try to get our framed piece in by 2.
I made it by 2:30. They were gracious.
Here are some pictures:

Yes, it rained!

Final piece.

"Harriman Park"

"Harriman Park"
9" x 12," Oil on Canvas

I painted this on the side of the lake early spring 2017. It was chilly, but I was happy with the piece! However the background always seemed too dominant. I've lightened it up in order to push it back and give more depth to the scene.
