This is a study I did for a larger painting,
but it needed some touching up.
I just read "Lisette's List" a novel that takes place in southern France
and it's easy to fall in love with the beauty there.
And check out Julian Merrow-Smith, an Englishman who
lives and paints there. You will fall in love with his work!

This is charming, Sharon. Did you take this from your own visit there? My dream is to one day go to Arles and paint in Van Gogh's world. Thank you for suggestion to read Lisette's List. I researched it and it sounds like my kind of reading pleasure.
I read it for book group and it was the third this year that took us to France during WWII. My favorite was All the Light We Cannot See! My husband and I visited Provence 4 years ago and I'd love to go back some day.
